TRAINING FACILITY
RULES AND REGULATIONS
 

REGISTRATION POLICIES

  1. Pre-Registration is required for all courses.  Seating is reserved for all registration forms providing full payment is received within seven (5) business days of the initial scheduled course date. 
  2. All registration fees are Non-Refundable.  However, they may be credited to future classes to the next available scheduled course date or within sixty (60) days of the initial scheduled course date, whichever comes first, or the registrant forfeits the registration fees.
  3. There will be a $35.00 return check fee for any returned check.
  4. Course schedules are subject to change without notice and will be based on enrollment.  In the event of a schedule change, SECURCORP Inc. will attempt to notify all registrants however; it is the responsibility of the registrant to verify if course schedules have changed.  It is recommended that all attendees contact our office two (2) days prior to the initial scheduled course date.
  5. All course sessions will begin promptly at the scheduled time.
  6. Attendees who will not be present at the training session for any reason are required, per DCJS, to make up the missed training hours.  In that event, the attendee has two options:
    1. The attendee may wait until the next scheduled class and join that class at the appropriate juncture to regain the missed training hours at no additional cost to the attendee.
    2. The attendee may request privately scheduled make-up sessions, which will be scheduled at the instructors’ discretion, at and additional cost of $50.00 per hour. 
  7. If the attendee will not be present at a training session please notify the Training Director, in advance if possible, at 703-499-9359.
  8. Please, let SECURCORP Inc. know in advance if there is a need for accommodations due to physical disabilities. 

LIABILITY

  1. SECURCORP Inc., its staff, and/or its affiliates assume no civil or criminal responsibility or liability for any injuries (including death), accidents or damages to persons or property, while at the facility or during training off of the facility property.
  2. Any injuries and /or damages should be reported to the course instructor immediately.

CLASSROOM RULES

  1. No firearms or explosives of any kind will be permitted in the training facility.  Regardless of possession of a concealed weapon permit and / or a firearms endorsement, all firearms must be secured outside of the facility, preferably in your vehicle’s cargo/trunk area.
  2. Dress is casual business attire:  T-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts/sweatpants, shorts, ripped jeans, and hats are NOT acceptable.
  3. No use of tobacco products of any type in the classroom.  Tobacco products may be used outside in the designated area during breaks.
  4. No audible pagers or cellular telephones.  They must be on “vibrate” mode or they will not be allowed in the classroom.  This is a learning environment and consideration for all students must be given during classroom instruction.
  5. Tardiness and absenteeism will not be permitted.  Anyone arriving past the scheduled start time will not receive credit for the training session.
  6. Certain areas of the training facility are off limits and these areas will be pointed out during the introduction portion of the training session. 
  7.  The instructor has the authority to enforce the rules and regulations and use of his/her discretion in determining what constitutes inappropriate behavior.
  8. If the instructor considers a violation of the rules/regulations detrimental to the training of the other students or to involve cheating on examinations, the instructor may expel the individual from the school.  Notification of such action shall immediately be reported to the student’s employee agency if applicable. 
  9. As a student during this training session, you are considered on duty.  Professional conduct is expected at all times. 
  10. If any situation arises that does not allow you to attend this session, please call 703-499-9359 prior to the session date. 
  11. Each individual attending a training session shall comply with all rules and regulations as stated above. 

BREAKS

  1. For full day sessions, a thirty - (30) -minute lunch break is scheduled.  Please plan your own lunch arrangements by packing your lunch.  A refrigerator is available for your use.  There are several restaurants within walking distance if you desire not to bring your lunch. 
  2. A ten (10) minute break will be given after every 50 minutes of instruction. 
  3. Class will resume promptly at the designated time.

EMERGENCIES

  1. Emergency Medical Services including the Potomac Hospital are readily available within 4.5 miles of the training facility. 
  2. Please notify our training staff of any medical conditions that he/she should be aware of.
  3. In case of any unforeseen emergencies, please defer to the facility instructor for appropriate procedures.

COMPLETION OF TRAINING

  1. Upon completion of training SECURCORP Inc. will provide the following:
    1. Assistance in preparing the initial registration application form required.  (The Initial Registration Application Fee is the registrants responsibility and must be submitted to DCJS with the Registration Application)
    2. Fingerprinting of students requiring submission with the Fingerprint Processing Application.  (The Fingerprint Processing Application Fee of $50.00 is the registrants responsibility and must be submitted to DCJS with the Fingerprint Processing Application and Fingerprint Cards)
    3. SECURCORP Inc. will take a digital photograph of each student and once the student is notified of his or her DCJS 99 number, usually in letter form from DCJS,  the photo will be electronically submitted to DCJS for the purpose of processing the registrant’s ID card. 
SECURCORP Inc. will provide each student a DCJS Training Completion Form that must remain on the registrants’ person until he/she receives the DCJS ID card.
